Thirty choral students from the Marlboro Central School District participated in the annual All-County Choral Festival, which was held at J. Watson Bailey Middle School in Kingston on November 3 and 4. The festival was organized by the Ulster County Music Educators Association.
In order to participate in the choruses, students had to audition and be selected to perform with other top musicians in the county. The students rehearsed with guest conductors on Friday evening and during the day on Saturday. The festival culminated in a final performance on Saturday for family members and friends.
We are incredibly proud of these students for being selected to represent Marlboro. The students worked hard and performed beautifully with their peers. A huge thank you to their teachers—Mrs. Budryk, Dr. Hu-Corbett, and Ms. Johnston—who helped to prepare the students for the festival. The teachers taught them all of the music at school in the weeks prior to the festival and chaperoned them during the weekend’s festivities.
Bravo!
