Engineering students work on computers while adults look on.

Laura Wilson—the owner of Wilson Daily Prep, a company that specializes in preparing students for success on the SAT/ACT college entrance exams—visited Cristi Martino’s English 10 Honors classes at Marlboro High School last week to introduce a product that students will be using as part of the class. High School Daily Quiz is an online program that gives high schoolers the opportunity to receive daily practice answering SAT/ACT-style questions. It also helps improve students’ vocabulary, grammar, and reading skills.

Meanwhile, Engineering & Robotics students have been planning a visit to SUNY Dutchess this fall to learn more about the college’s Electrical Engineering Technology program. In preparation for that field trip, Daniel Barbuto, a program chair and assistant professor at SUNY Dutchess, paid a visit to Thomas Fassell’s students to see firsthand what they have been up to in class. From 3D printing to building radio-controlled airplanes to programming computers using Raspberry Pi, it’s clear that the students have been busy!
