Emma Stoebling and Molly Daly

Marlboro High School (MHS) is proud to announce that Emma Stoebling has been named valedictorian of the Class of 2025, and Molly Daly is this year’s salutatorian. These students excelled not only academically during their high school careers but also in a wide array of sports and extracurricular activities.

Emma earned top honors with a weighted grade point average (GPA) of 103.071. She has maintained a rigorous course schedule at Marlboro, including four Advanced Placement (AP) courses and seven college-level courses. She is the current vice president of the National Honor Society and is a member of the Leo Club and the Student-Athlete Leadership Team. She also served as class treasurer during her junior year.

A skilled athlete, Emma competed on Marlboro’s Varsity Volleyball and Girls Varsity Basketball teams. She helped her team earn a Section IX Championship in Basketball and was named a Mid-Hudson Scholar-Athlete all four years of High School. Outside of school, she works part-time as a physical therapy aide at Hudson Valley Manual Physical Therapy and as a page at the Marlboro Free Library.

The daughter of David and Melissa Stoebling, Emma has been a Marlboro Central School District student since Kindergarten. Although she is uncommitted at this time, her top college choices are Russell Sage, SUNY Purchase, and SUNY Brockport. She plans to major in either Health Sciences or Biology, or to pursue an accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy track.

“I see myself as a physical therapist in the future,” Emma said. “I had two major knee injuries due to sports, so I fell in love with physical therapy in the process.”

Emma said she will miss the friendships she has made at MHS, as well as the supportive faculty members who have had an impact on her throughout her time at the school, most notably Amy Tremblay, Brian Barbulean, and Ray Leduc. “There are so many other teachers I could mention because I truly had a bond with so many of them,” she said.

Molly, whose weighted GPA is 102.626, has taken on a full course load, including five AP classes and several college courses. She is the current president of the National Honor Society and a member of the Spanish Honor Society. She also competes on the Girls Varsity Soccer team, serving as captain during her junior and senior years.

Outside of school, Molly works part-time at Benmarl Winery and Little Friends Daycare. Like Emma, Molly said she will miss spending time with her friends and the many teachers who have influenced her at MHS.

“I think the two teachers who have impacted me the most throughout my high school career are [Ray] Leduc and [Scott] Hisel,” she said. “After having both teachers for two years, I believe they are dedicated to their students and to teaching their respective courses to the best of their ability.”

Molly, the daughter of Brendan Daly and Teresa Rusinek, has also been a Marlboro student since Kindergarten. She will attend Binghamton University in the fall and plans to major in Biological Sciences.

“I can see myself in a STEM career,” she said. “Right now, I am thinking about a career in medicine or dentistry.”

Rounding out MHS’s Top 10 for the Class of 2025 (in order of rank) are Sophia Dreyer, Thomas Maleck, Midori Gosnell, Troy Guillet, Danielle Ticcony, Sean Robertson, Lily Sullivan, and Jacqueline Rivera.

MHS Principal Ryan Lawler commended the students on their hard work and dedication, stating, "Emma and Molly, along with the rest of our Top 10 students, have demonstrated an incredible commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and service. We are so proud of their achievements and cannot wait to see all that they accomplish in the future."
