Marlboro Elementary School students and staff came together in a sea of green on September 20 to honor the “Start With Hello” campaign and the Sandy Hook Promise.

The color green was chosen because it represents the favorite color of several of those who lost their lives during the tragic event at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012, and it is worn as a symbol of solidarity and remembrance of their lives. The campaign, led by the Sandy Hook Promise organization, aims to combat social isolation in schools by encouraging students to reach out to others with simple acts of kindness like saying hello.

Well done, Dukes!
