The Marlboro Central School District will begin accepting applications for its Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program on Monday, January 29. There are 89 tentative spots available for the 2024-2025 school year. Spots will once again be assigned using a random lottery process. The program is NOT first come, first served.
The UPK application period will be open through Friday, February 9. Applications will be available online here. Hard copies can also be picked up at the Marlboro Central School District (MCSD) office, which is located at 21 Milton Turnpike, on weekdays between 8 AM and 4 PM. Once an application has been submitted, applicants will have the option to download or pick up a registration packet. The registration packet deadline is Friday, February 16.
In order to be eligible for the UPK program, a child must reside within the MCSD and be four years old on or before December 1, 2024. Participating UPK providers include Little Friends Preschool, Pattycake Playhouse II, Stepping Stones, and Stepping Stones II.
The following documents are required to register: a birth certificate; two proofs of residency (at least one primary and one supplementary), health and dental exams, including immunizations within the last calendar year; parent/guardian identification; IEP (if applicable); and custody/foster care documentation (if applicable).
